Well, first things first…

What is a Good Side Hustle?

Finding a good business idea can be daunting. One of the most common reasons people don’t start a business is because they don’t think they have “a good idea”.

The truth is that if you put your mind to it – you would be able to think more than one good side hustle business idea, provided you know what to look for!

To find what is a good side hustle business idea start by; writing down your skills, your hobbies, your achievements, and even what you’ve brought to big projects at work… anything that you believe you’re pretty great at, like really genuinely great at, but also the things that you enjoy.

Ask friends and family about what they see you enjoying and being great at doing. Perhaps you are incredible at entertaining children and a kids party planner is a good side hustle business idea for you.

Or perhaps you’re a great organiser… you might not think that’s an amazing skill, but in the right context that’s an incredibly valuable skill! And you might be able to help others get organised either by consulting with them, or perhaps building spreadsheets and checklists for other people to use.

There’s an infinite array of possibilities and ideas out there, you just need to think of the ones that suit you best.

Once you have decide on your business idea you’ll want to start thinking about finding paying clients.

Check these out:

Pitch Your Offering

You’ve found a potential client – YAY! – now to win them over.

In How to Pitch An Idea, Scott Berkun suggests creating three levels to your pitch a quick 5 second pitch, a 30 second pitch and a more detailed 5 minute pitch.

Your 5 second pitch is concise and to the point. Short and sharp is the aim here.
The 30 second version you explain how to plan to achieve your offering for the client.
The 5 minute version you explain how you plan to achieve your offering for them, tell them a little about how amazing you are at delivering on your promise and lastly how you are the best person to make them look amazing!

Don’t let excuses hold you back

Time and time again I have seen women with brilliant ideas let self-doubt stop them from achieving their dreams.

Don’t let self-doubt hold you back.

Repeat after me;

“I am amazing.”

“I CAN do anything.”

“I AM capable.”

“I believe”

Got a great side hustle idea? Tell me about it in the comments I’d love to cheer you on!
