Feminine WordPress Themes to Express Your Professional Style

Feminine WordPress themes are a great way to express your personality while still showcasing a professional looking website. While we’ve already been talking about how to start a side hustle and how to set up your website, we haven’t touched on what kind of visual style you might want your side hustle to have online.

You might be thinking, “Really Edwena ‘my visual style online?’ stop being silly”. But the truth is that just like your personal style, the clothes to choose to wear each day, the brands of make-up you buy or even the car you drive – your website will have its own style and is an important part of your brand.

Whether your side hustle (or even main business) is an online store, service-based business, MLM business or something else, the WordPress theme that you use on your website can change the way people look at your side hustle and whether they ultimately want to do business with you.

10 years ago I discovered BluChic while looking for that perfect WordPress theme that would help me to better represent my business and my brand. I’d already downloaded a bunch of free themes but none were what I was after, and the few that were close had no ongoing support, which may not sound like a big deal, but trust me it is.

Not only are their themes beautifully designed with feminine flair, but their post-purchase documentation and support is the BEST online support I have come across – they are always prompt, friendly, helpful and are able to explain what to do without techy jargon!

The first BluChic theme I ever purchased from BluChic was called Jacquline, it was an elegantly simple theme but was retired in 2020. At the time, BluChic also sold a whole business design setup package, complete with business card templates and social media graphics – and I purchased it all!

Since finding BluChic, whenever I’ve needed a WordPress theme for a side-hustle or to revamp my businesses website the first place I go is always BluChic.

5 Feminine WordPress Themes

ChicBoss

I have a soft spot for this ChicBoss theme specifically because it was our Pinpoint Finance website is based on this theme. Clients love it and most of all, our team who sees it day-in and day-out love it too.

The purpose of the Pinpoint Finance website was to help build trust and authority with our clients and potential clients. As a website the sole purpose of the theme was to help showcase our services working 1:1 with clients and have potential clients contact us as quickly as possible.

This might suit you too if you’re looking to work directly with clients in a one-on-one service arrangement. There is the capacity for selling digital products using this theme but if all your selling is products then I’ve got a better theme to suit your needs.

ChicMoxie

Meet the lovely ChicMoxie.

Recognize this feminine WordPress theme at all? Yes, this is the theme that I used to create the Ladies Richer Every Day website!

This specific theme is great if you are wanting to build a community, selling physical or digital products as it comes with WooCommerce compatibility (WooCommerce is a WordPress plugin – think of it is the shopping cart area of a website).

Another great feature of this theme is the social proof bar; it offers you a way to tastefully show off any publications you’ve featured in. Not all WordPress themes offer this valuable extra feature but my belief is that if you’re building a business having a specific place on your website were you can shout from the roof top when you do get featured in a prominent media outlet it’s worth it.

ChicShop

ChicShop isn’t a super new theme from BluChic but I still love the look and feel of this theme. I can see myself buying this theme in the future.

This theme is all about showing your website visitors what you’re about quickly through the use of a slideshow feature right at the top of the home page. You could showcase your best selling products or most popular articles to visitors to quickly turn them into paying clients.

ChicLuxe

ChicLuxe is a Luxe theme, to me, works because of the minimal way that it conveys emotion by allowing the images used to create a visual space that lets you see the magic and feel of walking into a beautiful design event! It’s a theme that has been designed predominantly for wedding vendors and high-end event planners.

As soon as I saw this theme I was reminded of an amazing event at the wonderous Vue De Monde restaurant in Melbourne, where George Jensen and Vogue collaborated with the Australian Philharmonic Orchestra to launch a new line of jewelry from George Jensens. It was an amazing event, and an amazing room, and this theme gives you the opportunity to create that same ‘wow’ moment when people come to your website.

This is the feminine WordPress theme that I believe allows those ‘wow’ moments to be captured and communicated to others through a website. A bold statement I know, but like I said at the start of this article visual style is important.

ChicServe

ChicServe is specifically designed for service-based businesses. It gives you specific pages where you can really engage with potential clients about the different services that you offer.

Again this theme is great if you have had media exposure as it includes the social proof and you have the flexibility with this theme to have that social proof bar appear across multiple pages on your site.

Final Note

You have likely clicked on a few of the themes above because they are pretty and still professional and noticed that most are $149 and are wondering whether you should get a cheaper theme or a free theme.

Before I found BluChic I had downloaded way too many themes. Each had good and bad features, limited customisation but most importantly limited or no documentation or support on how best to setup their themes.

Instead of thinking that the cost of the theme is a big investment, consider it a small price to pay to receive extensive documentation, including short videos on how to install and set up each element or feature for that specific theme. Plus they also offer fantastic support if you need to email someone for an answer to a slightly more obscure question that isn’t in the documentation.

Please don’t make the mistake that I did early on of thinking that ‘free’ was going to save me money. It didn’t. It cost me more time and frustration than I’d care to remember, and since discovering BluChic I’ve never looked back.

PS because I know you can keep a secret; I sneakily used a BluChic theme on one of my husband’s website – changing the colours to make everything ‘less girly’ and he thinks it’s great! 🤫
